When booking with Ryanair, it's important to note that you may need to complete the verification process introduced by the airline.

The purpose of the airline's verification is to confirm the passenger's identity. This process applies to select bookings, including those made through travel agencies, and is conducted by the airline prior to departure.

Received an email from Ryanair asking for verification?

We'd like to reassure you that your flight ticket is confirmed and valid for travel. We collaborate with different airlines and routes, sometimes through third-party sources, to provide you with the best travel options.

Discover all you need to know about the verification process below.

Online verification options

  • Express Verification: This option takes a few minutes and utilizes facial recognition technology. The associated cost, imposed by the airline, is currently set at EUR 0.59 (subject to change by the airline).

  • Regular Verification: This option may take up to 7 days and is free of charge. It verifies the passenger's signature.

Verification steps

As part of the verification process, the airline will ask you to confirm your identity and payment information.

When reviewing your payment information, you'll find details of either the card you provided or our virtual card, which we may have used to pay the airline on your behalf. In either case, you can click to confirm these details are associated with your booking.

If a virtual payment card was used to purchase your ticket, you can view its details on the booking confirmation email sent to you by Ryanair.

Verification at the airport

You have the option to verify your details during airport check-in. However, please note that the airline charges a fee of EUR 55 per passenger (subject to change by the airline) for airport check-in, or an equivalent amount based on your departure country. We strongly recommend completing the verification process online, in advance.
